The workshop was led by WNRI in collaboration with the local representative for Norwegian Research council, aiming for recruit businesses and biomass producers to get engaged in innovation projects regarding pyrolysis and biochar production. WRNI was the webinar host, and held a general introduction of the ENABLING project, and was responsible for a workshop on the topic: “Biochar – how to speed up the production and utilization in the agricultural sector?”.
Sixty participants from all over Norway got an good overview about status for technology, quality and use of Biochar . They were introduced to a total of twelve short presentations, on the status of technology, status on research on biochar, present regulations and policy, and practical examples both on innovative businesses and research projects on biocha

The main topic of the workshop was the presentation of practical results achieved through research projects, introduction of new trends and presentation of data and tools whose development was co-financed by research projects.
The workshop was conducted in the premises of the Centre of Excellence for Renewable Resources in Straubing and consisted of two different main parts:

On Tuesday, 14.01.2020 we organise a conference with over 150 farmers, delegates from Ministry of Agriculture, agricultural-advisors and consultants and researchers, in the Rosh-Pina auditorium.
On December 31st , 2019 over 120 farmers of the orchards sector, researchers in this field as well as in post-harvest, people from the regional Ministry of Agriculture, came to discussion on the future of the “fruit industry” in the Galilee, which is the Israeli fruit Barn and supply fruits all over Israel and abroad. Pruning is a serious question they are dealing with as well as a large quantity of fruit-wastes on farms and in the packing-houses.
The event "Bioenergy & Sustainable Development - Celebration of the Greek Bioenergy Day Greece" will take place on Wednesday 27 November 2019, from 11: 30-17: 00, at the University of Piraeus (M. Karaoli & A. Dimitriou 80, Piraeus).
BGBIOM has participated in the 1st International Symposium on Climate Change and Sustainable Agriculture organised on 15-16 November 2019 by Balkan Environmental Association (BENA).
In the wake of the Agrilevante Fair, the international exhibition of machines and technologies for agriculture, ITABIA in collaboration with FEDERUNACOMA organized the workshop "Sustainable agriculture and bioeconomy" where the ENABLING Project was treated.
On October 30 the project ENABLING has been presented at the regional meeting of the participants in the SUWANU: Sustainable Water Treatment and Agricultural Reuse Options in Europe in the Hotel Imperial, Plovdiv.
The theme of the conference was to promote a higher degree of application of the principles of waste prevention and reuse in everyday life. The program also included a presentation of the ENABLING project.
On 24th October ENABLING partner Collison and Associates worked with the Bioladies Network to run a workshop in Norwich, UK as part of Norwich Science Festival.
This workshop is aimed at improving the revenue of farmers by increasing the prospects of rural business in Ireland. Innovative Technologies and Government schemes to support farmers were presented.
The workshop was conducted as part of Bioeconomy Ireland week 2019. Workshop involved Celignis tour, in which relevance of ENABLING project on understanding the feedstock availability, composition and technologies available to convert the feedstock to value added products was presented.
The main subject of this workshop was to present the idea of “Circular Economy” and the importance synergy between the cattle and the animal feed.
On September 9th, 48 companies participated in the a Hackathon in ISRAEL. The purpose of the hackathon was to connect participants and identify business benefits and opportunities unused resources.
The workshop entitled “HORIZONT 2020, Social Challenges - Selected Projects with Czech Participation” was held as part of the accompanying program of the international agricultural trade fair Země Živitelka 2019 in České Budějovice on 22 August 2019.

Capraia's island is part of Tuscan Archipelago and it hosts an ambitious 360-degree circular economy project every year. Last May 2019 Capraia held a unique event in the history of the island; for three days dozens of leading Bioeconomy experts gathered to identify all the possible initiatives to be undertaken in the field of the circular economy.
On June 28 the project ENABLING has been presented at the meeting of the members of Bulgarian National Association Essential Oils, Perfumery and Cosmetics in the Hotel Imperial, Plovdiv. The Association celebrated 20 years jubilee of its foundation. BNAEOPC members are active in the field of growing, distillation and use of essential oils for production of biobased cosmetic and perfumery. Prof. Aladjadjiyan presented the project ENABLING and its online instruments. Academicians and representatives of business, presented at the meeting, demonstrated interest for the instruments developed in the project.
The workshop was organised and conducted together with the Bulgarian National Association Essential Oils, Perfumery and Cosmetics in (BNAEOPC).
This workshop is aimed at heat users, technology providers, wood-fuel suppliers and other people who would like to find out more about the technical details and supports available through the Support Scheme for Renewable Heat (SSRH) which has been opened by the Irish Government this week.
